Traditional profile of Mr. Yick Richard, Nana Kwabena Tutu II is the enstooled Nkosɔhene (Development Chief) of Abease Traditional Area in the Bono East region of the Republic of Ghana. He is known in private as Mr. Yick Richard from Singapore and was born in 1951 in Singapore. Before Mr. Stephen Asamoah was enstooled Omanhene (king) of ABEASE Traditional Area, he was a businessman in Italy. During his days at Italy ,he came in contact with Mr. Yick Richard and they became friends from then.
In 2015 Mr. Stephen Asamoah was enstooled as Omanhene (King) ABEASE Traditional Area in Ghana with the stool name Obrempong Kru-Takyi Il following, the death of his uncle Nana Okokoroko Nyomakwa II the OMANHENE (king) of ABEASE Traditional Area.
In 2019, Mr. Yick Richard as a bosom friend of Obrempong Kru-Takyi Il came to Ghana to congratulate him and explore the environment in which his friend has been enstooled as Omanhene (king).
During his visit, Obrempong Kru-Takyi Il introduced him to his subjects and also introduced to him the social and economic resources of ABEASE Traditional Area. After these exposition, Mr. Yick Richard had the passion to permanently stay with his friend and assist him in developing as the OMANHENE (king) of ABEASE Traditional Area.
Obrempong Kru-Takyi Il discussed his friend’s intention to the Traditional Council and the Council taught it wise to enstooled him as Nkosɔhene (Development Chief) of Abease Traditional Area. On Monday 23rd December, 2019 Mr. Yick Richard was customary enstooled as Nkosɔhens (Development Chief) of Abease Traditional Area with the stool name Nana Kwabena Tutu II, Nana Kwabena Tutu was one of the warriors of ABEASE during their migration in 1722 from Bono Manso (Techiman) to the present day Abease. He was then awarded a piece of land to put up his palace.
On 26th December, 2019 Nana Kwabena Tutu ll organized a grand durbar at Abease in commensuration of his enstoolment which was chaired by Nana Pimampim Yaw Kabrese IV Omanhene (king) of Yeji Traditional Area and the then president of BONO EAST REGIONAL House of Chiefs. At the durbar, Nana Kwabena Tutu II expressed thanks to Obrempong Kru-Takyi II and the entire Abeaseman for this honour and pledge his willingness assist in the development of ABEASE Traditional Area. After the durbar, Nana Kwabena Tutu II left back home to prepare and come back to assist his friend to develop Abease Traditional Area. Obrempong Kru-Takyi II and the entire Abeaseman are therefore eager to see Nana Kwabena Tutu II back in Abease to fulfill his promised.
